From Cardiff Beginnings: The Story of CineNorth Studios

Starting something new is always a leap — but for me and my partner Maria, launching CineNorth Studios in Cardiff felt like the perfect way to combine our creative passion, technical experience, and love for storytelling. What began as a shared dream has rapidly grown into a full-service content-creation business dedicated to helping brands, creators and businesses tell their stories through video and photography.

So Who Are We?

Originally from Aberystwyth, I (Jamie Walker) am a camera and drone operator with a passion for cinematic storytelling and visual creativity. With years of hands-on experience across branded content, documentaries, live events and commercial projects, I bring a calm, professional energy to every shoot, and a strong eye for detail that ensures every frame counts.

So my partner Maria Lee Metheringham is a dynamic producer, director and content creator with a strong background in narrative storytelling and visual marketing. With experience across film, branded content, live events and digital campaigns, she brings organisation, creativity and a people-focused approach to every project. Known for her warm personality and ability to make anyone feel confident on camera, Maria ensures shoots run smoothly from planning to delivery.
